Voted the world's best viewing platform, teeter 604 metres above the Lysefjorden on this guided hike to Preikestolen aka Pulpit Rock. A sheer cliff face that juts out over the water, marvel in the sheer size and scale of Norway's natural features as you follow the contours of this impressive mountain face!
Location
This activity is run & operated from Stavanger and travels to Lysefjord via Ferry from Lauvvik. From the other side, it is a short drive to Preikestolen Lodge.

Meet your guide in Stavanger for this Summit Hike to Pulpit Rock. An activity where getting there is half the fun, head to the ferry port where you'll cruise along the strait to Lysefjord - enjoying the impressive scenery along the way. From the other side, travel to is a to Preikestolen Lodge and lace up your hiking boots at the trailhead. A three-hour hike along a wild yet well-maintained route, as you travel up the final set of stone cut stairs, Pulpit Rock's infamous platform comes into view. From here, you can enjoy the scenery and catch your breath - marking the moment with photos from the top. After a picnic lunch, start your hike back to the ferry port - returning back to Stavanger by late afternoon.
Conditions
Suitable for anyone of good physical fitness, there are a number of demanding sections during the hike, chain railings have been secured along the trail for your safety and support. Hiking boots are strongly encouraged, or trail running shoes, at the very least.
